Why weeks, not months
AI-assisted evidence review, one client portal
Every ISO 27001 UK engagement runs on the Praxis-Q compliance platform. You upload evidence per control, AI scores it against the requirement, and your auditor reviews in the same workflow — from scoping through to the issued, publicly verifiable certificate.
AI evidence scoring
Every upload is scored against the control before an auditor sees it — gaps surface in minutes, not at the review meeting.
One client portal
Scoping, evidence, auditor queries and status live in one place. No email chains, no spreadsheet trackers.
Auditor sign-off
Praxis-Q auditors review inside the same workflow, so review rounds shrink and the certificate issues sooner.
ISO 27001:2022 and UKAS Accreditation
UKAS (the United Kingdom Accreditation Service) is the sole body appointed by government to accredit certification bodies operating in the UK. It doesn't issue ISO 27001 certificates itself - it accredits the certification bodies (BSI, NQA, and others) that do. A certificate from a UKAS-accredited body is what UK enterprise procurement, government tenders, and cyber insurers actually check for; a certificate from an unaccredited or overseas-only body is frequently rejected outright at vendor due diligence. Praxis-Q's role is the implementation and audit-readiness work - Annex A controls, documentation, internal audit, management review - delivered so the client goes into Stage 1 and Stage 2 with a UKAS-accredited certification body already selected and briefed, rather than discovering the distinction after the fact.
Sequencing Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001
Cyber Essentials is a self-assessed baseline against five technical controls (firewalls, secure configuration, access control, malware protection, patch management); Cyber Essentials Plus adds independent technical verification of the same five. Neither is a substitute for ISO 27001, which requires a full management system - risk assessment, a Statement of Applicability across all 93 Annex A controls, internal audit, and continual improvement - but many UK public-sector and NHS contracts require Cyber Essentials as an entry bar before ISO 27001 is even relevant. Praxis-Q sequences the two: Cyber Essentials Plus evidence (patch records, configuration baselines, access reviews) feeds directly into the equivalent ISO 27001 Annex A controls, so organisations pursuing both aren't gathering the same evidence twice.
FCA Operational Resilience (PS21/3) for Regulated Firms
FCA Policy Statement PS21/3 requires firms in scope to identify their important business services, set impact tolerances for each, and map the people, processes, technology, facilities and information that support them - with the expectation that firms can remain within tolerance through severe but plausible disruption. For FCA/PRA-regulated clients, Praxis-Q maps ISO 27001's asset inventory, business continuity and incident management controls directly onto the important-business-service mapping PS21/3 requires, so the ISMS risk register and the operational resilience self-assessment are built from one evidence base rather than two parallel exercises that inevitably drift apart.
UK GDPR, DPA 2018 and NIS Regulations 2018
UK GDPR Article 32 requires 'appropriate technical and organisational measures' for the security of personal data - it does not name a standard, and ISO 27001 certification is the most commonly accepted way to evidence that obligation to the ICO and to enterprise data-processing agreements. For operators of essential services or relevant digital service providers, the NIS Regulations 2018 impose separate security and incident-reporting duties enforced by sector regulators (e.g. Ofcom, Ofgem) rather than the ICO; Praxis-Q scopes which of these regimes actually apply to a given entity before treating ISO 27001 as sufficient on its own, since none of the three fully substitutes for the others.
Delivery Model and Certification Timeline
Gap assessment against ISO 27001:2022 typically runs 1-2 weeks; full ISMS build, control implementation and internal audit adds several more depending on organisational maturity and the number of Annex A controls in scope. Praxis-Q delivers remotely with UK-hours availability, hands the Stage 1/Stage 2 assessment to the client's chosen UKAS-accredited body, and supports the surveillance audit cycle (annual, over the 3-year certificate validity) so the ISMS stays audit-ready rather than lapsing between visits.
